With Default, you can schedule Deep Research on closed-lost opportunities and launch enrichment wherever GTM data enters or changes: when records are created in your CRM, when leads convert, when users sign up for your product, or when visitors arrive on your website.

A quick look at what is new

  • Closed-lost research: Run research agents and identify how to win back closed lost deals.
  • CRM enrichment: Enrich objects as they get created or updated.
  • Lead conversion: Turn converted leads into clean, complete contact records.
  • Website visitors: Turn person- and company-level website activity into actionable records.
  • Product signups: Identify, enrich, score, and route users while intent is high.
  • CRM maintenance: Backfill and refresh records through scheduled workflows.

Now, let us take a closer look at how these workflows work.

Deep Research

1. Revisit closed-lost accounts with scheduled Deep Research

Run deep research inside your enrichment workflows on a recurring time trigger to review closed-lost opportunities after a defined period.

Research agents can investigate what has changed since the opportunity closed, such as company priorities, leadership, hiring, product direction, or other relevant buying signals, and surface accounts with a reason to re-engage.

This gives GTM teams a repeatable way to find closed-lost accounts worth reopening instead of relying on calendar reminders and manual account research.

Examples:

  • Revisit opportunities 90 days after they move to closed-lost
  • Research meaningful account changes since the deal closed
  • Send accounts with relevant new signals to the owner for review

CRM enrichment

2. Keep every new and updated account or contact complete

Trigger enrichment whenever an account or contact is created or updated in your CRM. Use CRM hygiene workflows to fill missing firmographic and contact fields before the record moves into qualification, ownership, routing, or follow-up.

Examples:

  • Enrich a contact created with only an email, use the returned company name and domain to match it to an existing account, and create the account when no match exists
  • Fill missing country, state, headcount, revenue, or funding data before assigning an account or contact to a territory or owner
  • Refresh only blank or outdated fields when an existing company changes without overwriting trusted CRM values

Signal enrichment

3. Turn website visitors into actionable records

Person- and company-level identification can turn website activity into a workflow trigger even when the visitor does not submit a form.

Use the resulting data to update the CRM, alert an account owner, launch additional enrichment, or start an outbound automation workflow. For submitted leads, the same context can power inbound qualification and routing.

Examples:

  • Check whether the company is already a customer or has an assigned owner before creating a new record
  • Alert the account owner in Slack or launch an outbound workflow when a qualified company visits a high-intent page

4. Enrich and route product signups while intent is high

Use a product signup as the trigger for an enrichment and routing workflow.

Default can identify the person and company, add the context required for scoring, check existing CRM ownership, and connect inbound automation with auditable lead routing to send the signup to the correct teammate or next action.

Examples:

  • Filter personal, test, and student email addresses before using an enrichment credit
  • Enrich country, headcount, and funding data to determine whether the signup meets your qualification criteria
  • Check whether the company is already a customer or owned by an AE or partner before routing qualified signups through round robin

Enrichment at scale

5. Keep your CRM fresh with scheduled enrichment

Not every enrichment job needs to start with a real-time event. Create scheduled enrichment workflows that scan selected records daily, weekly, or monthly, find missing or outdated data, and run the appropriate enrichment process.

Use this to:

  • Backfill a specific missing field, such as a phone number, company domain, headcount, or revenue band
  • Run selected records through a provider waterfall and write the highest-priority available values back to the CRM
  • Refresh records that were flagged as incomplete or outdated as companies and people change
  • Maintain CRM completeness without one-off cleanup projects
  • Avoid purchasing or overwriting data when a trusted value already exists

Summary

You can now use scheduled Deep Research to revisit closed-lost accounts, enrich records when they enter or change in your CRM, add context to high-intent product and website signals, maintain entire datasets on a schedule, and give agents access to governed enrichment workflows.

Start with the point in your GTM motion where missing context currently creates the most manual work.
